Abstract
Movement disorders occur m a heterogenous group of conditions in which abnormality m the form and velocity of movement of body predominates. These abnormalities occur in a conscious patient.
The better understanding of the role of different
neurotransmitters has led to proper design of medical treatment and modification according to the response.
With advances in the neurophysiological localization of the target points, in addition to anatomical localization, the outcome of surgical procedures have improved noticeably.
