Abstract

The present work aimed to clarifying to which extent guar plant (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba L. Tauh) stimulation its grow in sandy soil to agricultural practices and improving its seeds and guaran productivity by using complete fertilizer and its capacity to tolerate saline water irrigation and the best irrigation intervals treatments . Besides studying the effect of those treatments on the growth, seed yield components, guaran production and some chemical constituents of guar plant

Foliar sprays number of complete fertilizer were (1,2,3, and 4 sprays) with concentrations at (0, 1000, 2000 and 4000 ppm) and their interaction treatments. The used treatments of saline water irrigation levels were (0, 1000, 2000 , 3000 and
4000 ppm) concentrations . The control plants were treated
with tap water . The water intervals treatments were every 3,
5 and 7 days·.

The following data were recorded : (1) Vegetative growth and root system. (2) Seed yield components. (3) Guaran production (4) Some chemical constituents.

Generally the highest yield of guar seeds and guaran production were obtained by spraying the guar plants by four sprays combined with complete fertilizer at 2000 ppm concentration treatment. Also, guar plants will tolerate saline water irrigation treatments up to 3000ppm and irrigated plants every 5 days under sandy soil conditions at El-Kassasin region.
