Assessment and Predictive Test of anti-Müllerian Hormone on Ovarian Responsiveness in PCOS Patients Undergoing Intracytoplasmic sperm injection
Karim Lotfy Hassan Emam;
Abstract
The Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine/metabolic disorders of women, it’s is a functional disorder of no obvious etiology, a collection of signs and features that characterize a disorder, whose principal features contain androgen excess, ovulatory dysfunction, and/or polycystic ovaries..
AMH levels are associated with the number of antral follicles, they are important in detecting ovarian response during controlled ovarian hyper-stimulation
2- Rationale:
In vitro fertilization (IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is the final step of treatment for PCOS patients with infertility. However, controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) in these patients remains a challenge till date because of risk of potentially lethal complication like ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).
