ADJUSTMENT DISORDERS AFFECTING RECRUITED MEN DURING MANDATORY MILITARY SERVICE

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of assessing the impact of stressors on recently army recruited subjects and their psychiatric clinical presentations, as well as, Comparing socio-demographic and personality profiles of maladjusted patients with their peers in primary training centers during mandatory military service period. The study consisted of two parts: A. Theoretical Part: This part consisted of a review of the literature on the subject of adjustment disorders in mandatory military service. It consistedof three chapters. Chapter one: discussed military service; Definition, types of military service in different countries, challenges and threats of deploymentincluding; pre-deployment challenges and personal preparation, deployment challenges, environmental stressors, physiological stressors and cognitive Stressor.
