Abstract
The foot is a complex stmctme consisting of 26 bones with multiple joints and ligaments in between. There arc two longitudinal arches (medial and lateral) and one transverse arch. They are maintained by tight compact
aiTangement of the bone bmmd togclher by ligaments. Muscles are dynamic
stabilizer of the hindfoot.

Types of flat foot are separated into two mam categories congenital flat
foot and Acquired Flat Foot. The first category, congenital flat foot , includes

the completely asymptomatic , pediatric flexible flat foot . Within the same
category of congenital flat foot, .exist several rare, more severe forms of flat

foot. All of which are) more rigid and definitely symptomatic. These severe
conditions include Congenital Vertical Talus, Accessory navicular bone and
