Evaluation of Root Canal Configuration of Mandibular Incisors Among Egyptian Sub Population
Shaimaa Mohamed Abdel Hamid Abouzaid;
Abstract
The aim of this study was to analyze and characterize root canal morphology of mandibular incisors among Egyptian sub population using Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT).
A total of 160 CBCT scans of patients from an Egyptian population were obtained and studied. The age, gender and location of included teeth were recorded.
The CBCT images were taken using a CBCT unit. Image properties were 90 kVp, 12 mA with a scan time of 12 sec and a voxel size (150- 200 µm).
Evaluation of the number of roots, number of canals, canal configuration (type), tooth length, position of root canal bifurcation and bilateral symmetry of central and late
