Abstract
In Egypt Available data is from El-Gharbia-of total nwnber of malignant cases I 735 in 1999 prostate cancer represents 3.3% and represents 7% of cancer in age group above 60 years old, while in other Middle East countries; prostate cancer is rated within the top 4 cancers in males in Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Emirates

With clinical suspicion of prostatic carcmoma, histological verification should be obtained to differentiate benign from mali6>nant lesions. Prostatic biopsy has developed from a blind finger-guided needle biopsy under general anesthesia to lesion and systematic
