Abstract
Hepatitis C virus has been shown to be associated with various lymphoproliferative disorders and a high prevalence (9% - 32%) of chronic HCV infection has been demonstrated among patients with lymphoma (Levine et al., 1990).
This study aimed to study the prevalence of hepatitis C among patients with lymphoproliferative disorders treated in Ain Shams University hospitals..
This study was carried on seventy five patients with various lymphoproliferative disorders. Also, twenty five healthy subjects were included as a control. ALL patients were investigated bycomplete blood count, ESR, reticulocytic count, Liver function tests, renal function tests, hepatitis markers (HCV-Abs), PCR for positive cases, abdominal sonography and CT scan all over the body.
