Abstract


Hundred and fifty diabetic children were subjected to stool examination using different methods to detect the prevalence of some pathogenic intestinal protozoa. Also to study the impact of these intestinal protozoal infection on their growth: It was found that G. 1amblia cyst was the most prevalent protozoal infection detected among diabetic children. The growth of diabetic children with intestinal protozoal infection is more affected than diabetic children without intestinal protozoal infections.
