SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION

This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of low frequency pulsed Magnetic field therapy (LFPMF) on blood flow (microcirculation) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Twenty patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with onset of the disease ranged from 2 to 10 years participated in the study. Their age ranged from
35 to 55 years old. They were assigned randomly into 2 groups equal in number .Magnet on group (n=10) received low frequency magnetic field with a frequency of 15 Hz, intensity of 20G for 20 minutes duration, three sesswns per week for successive 12 weeks, in addition to oral hypoglycemic drugs, whereas magnet off group (n=l 0) received oral hypoglycemic drugs.

Each patient of the two groups evaluated before and after treatment and the collected data statistically analyzed using paired and unpaired-t-test.
The results of this study revealed a significant improvement regarding to blood perfusion (microcirculation), of patients in magnet on group compared with magnet off group.

The data obtained in this study indicate that there was a significant reduction in heart rate, respiratory rate, systolic and diastolic blood pressure in magnet on group compared with magnet off group.
