ANAESTHETIC MANAGEMENT OF CEREBRAL ANEURYSM.

Abstract


Intracranial aneurysm are abnormal localized dilatation of the intracranial arteries. Common occurans in circle of willis. Diagnosed by CT scan, MRI and cerebral angiography. Treated by surgical obliteration or interventional neuroradiollagy the surgery may be early in 1st 48 hour after ruptur of aneurysm or late a week after rupture. Preper2tive evaluation of neurologic stat, intravasuclar volume, cardiac dysrythmias drug interaction and monitoring. • Anaesthetic technique may be balanced anasthesia or total intravenous anasthesia. The goal of anaesthesia is control of ICP, control of arteial blood pressure, avoidance of rerupture and Brain protection. Brain protection by phamacological drugs and non phamacological ways. Post operative care consist of monitoring, control of pain prophylactic aganis complication especially vasospasm.
