Eco-friendly finishing of cellulosic based textile to impart special performance properties via microencapsulation of different finishing agents

Heba Mamdouh Abd El Salam;

Abstract

The green chemistry or eco-friendly finishing one of the most important considerations of the environmental requirements and related legislations as important properties in the development of textile industries. Our research is a trail to get a special eco-friendly bioactive performance of the cellulosic textile products via microencapsulation technique.
Microencapsulation an interesting actual and probable future trend for finishing, characterized by a long lasting, slow continuous release and transfer of products to the human skin is filling microcapsules with active agents(e.g. fragrances, cosmetics, vitamins, and drugs and dyes are encapsulated in the biopolymers e.g. Chitosan) and fixing them on the surface of the fabric.
As a trail to get an eco-friendly finished product using:
Unconventional effectively (anti-microbial – anti-odour…) eco-friendly product (agriculture or marine algae and plants) as/or leaves flowers pastes of plants & extract their effective alkaloids or dyes via microencapsulation technique & other cores.
1- Collection of some agriculture plants and marine algae and grass taking into consideration the collection period. The Pelargonium hortorum selected as an agriculture plant, Colpomonia sinousa, Ulva fasciata as algae. Helophelia stapilecea as a sea grass.
2- Extract their active ingredients then identify the active
