Abstract

that:

Based on the findings of the present study. It can be concluded

The majority of the study • subjects are illiterates or just read and write, living in rural areas, and visited antenatal clinics less than 4 times during pregnancy, which may be contributed to the lack of knowledge about labor and fatigue.

The majority of the study subjects did not have enough knowledge about labor, fatigue, and measures to decrease level of fatigue. It may be attributed to educational level, residency, and numbers of antenatal visits of the study subjects.

It can also be concluded that, lack of health education during antenatal period is considered as the main cause of lack knowledge about labor and fatigue.

It can also be concluded that after implementation of the antenatal educational sessions, the majority of the study subject's knowledge changed from poor to good knowledge, which showed the imp011ance of educational role of the maternity nurse for providing the necessary information about childbirth process.
