Abstract
The present investigation deals with mites having parasitic association with the aquatic animal hosts, either marine or freshwater. In the present study, six new species of marine parasitic mites were collected from the wild sponge. -The collecting site of the sponge is located on the Red Sea Coast at
85 km South of Qusier city. Another new species of freshwater parasitic mite was collected from molluscan host Anodonta rubens.
The specimens of the host were collected from the site located on
the eastern bank of the River Nile, about 5 km north-east of Sohag
city.
