Mervat Fathy Fareed;
Abstract
The present study was carried out in order to select and increase the antimicrobial activity of certain locally organism to be used in the biological control of Citrus sinensis fruits blue mold rots disease.
In this study, 68 isolates (eubacteria and actinomycetes) were used. Out of these organisms, identified 24 isolates were obtained from different sites and the others were. isolated from phyllosphere and rhizosphere of Citrus sinensis trees. All these organisms were tested in vitro for their antagonistic activities against the fungal pathogen causing rot of Citrus sinensis fruits in order to choose the most active strain for biological control of postharvest of fungal disease of the selected orange.
