Effect of interface position with different concrete compressive strength and shear connector shapes on the behavior of one-way composite pre-slabs

Abstract
In the recent time periods, and with the development of construction industry increased reliance on the use of composite reinforced concrete elements. Among the most famous applications was composite pre-slab used extensively in the different constructions as bridges and buildings. Where it has several benefits such as a pre cast concrete layer can serves as skeleton or form for the cast in place concrete layer, and also to strengthening an existing slab.
This research presents as investigation of one-way composite pre-slabs behavior for many specimens have a different interface positions with two alternative concrete compressive strengths and different shapes of shear connector.
Fourteen medium scale sections, all specimens with overall dimensions of slabs 105cm*83cm with thickness 12cm were simply supported and tested under the effect of uniform distributed load.
The pre-slabs composed of two concrete layers and three shapes of shear connector represent in four groups G1, G2, G3 and G4, each group have a three specimens over and above two monolithic control specimens.
The results of these experimental and theoretical tests were combined with some other available information to formulate some recommendations for designers and researchers concerning the analysis, design and construction of composite pre-slab elements.
