Significance Of Magnesium Deficiency In Ischemic Heart Disease

Fouad Fathy Abd El Ghany Gado;

Abstract

This short review does not cover all interactions between magnesium and cardoivascular system . Instead , we attempted to put together a working hypothesis that has evolved over several past years of research in the magnesium field that to show the importance of measuring magnesium in patient with cardiovascular disorders and how this can be useful in diagnosing and potentially preventing some of these diseases. Reduction of magnesiUm ions can induce vasospasm , formation of proinflammatory agents ,oxgen radicles ; platelets aggregation , reduction in cardiac bioenergetics , cardiac failure and oxidation oflipoproteins .We provide a rational for how magnesium deficiency could result in hypertensive vascular disease, atherogenesis, HID and AMJ.
