Assessment of Lymphocytic steroid sensitivity In Renal Transplant Recipients
Wael Fouad Hussein Mohamed Nassar;
Abstract
We studied the
resistant lymphoid
incidence of steroid
population among
uraemic patients, their predictive value as well as factors that may influence lymphoid responsiveness to steroid in vitro.
55 uraemic patients were included m this study, 34M and 21 F. Mixed lymphocytic
culture (MLC) against panel was done before
and after in lymphocytes
vitro treatment of recipients with 100 ug/ml methyl
prednisolone. The MLC response will be considered sensitive if the inhibition level was
50% or greater or otherwise resistant.
Morning plasma . cortisol and morning serum
ACTH levels were measured.
