Abstract


Respiratory infections of infants can cause serious illness requiring hospitalization and intensive therapy. Factors that contribute to an infants susceptability to infection include immunologic immaturity, a relatively small air way, accessory muscles not well developed. Infant and young children ( birth to 3 years of age ) are suseptable to respiratory tract infection, therefore, the nurse should have awareness toward these problem and how to deal with upper respiratory, then she attempt to foster optimal development and adjustment in both infant and his family throughout minimizing disability and un necessary anxiety.
