NUTRITIONAL STATUE OF STUDENTS IN VOCATIONAL AND NON-VOCATIONAL PREPARATORY SCHOOLS OF SHEBIN EL- KOM

Abstract
Nutritional stautus of preparatory school girl students was studied on both vocational and non-vocational school girls(Menofia governrate).A total number of 199 students (100 vocational school girls and 99 non- vocational school girls),aged between 11-14 years old were chosen randomly.
The results are summarized as following:-
1-The mean of age for vocational school girls was (13 years).compared with (12 years) of non-vocational school girls.
2- Level of father's and mother's education was lower in vocational school girls than non-vocational school girls. Fathers of relativity low level ,(illiterate +read & write+ primary education),was pronouncing high for vocational school girls(70%)than non-vocational school girls (24.1 %).the reverse was found for relatively high educational level,(university +secondery+preparatoryschool),representing(3O%and
75.9%)respectively. Students with relatively low educational mothers were higher in vocational school girls(85%) than non-vocational school girls(41.4%) ,while the reverse was observed for relatively high educational mothers (15% and 58.6%)respectively.
3-The family size of students was actually higher in vocational
school girls than non-vocational school girls. For example in vocational school girls large families with 8-10 represented (51%) in comparison to (4%) only in non-vocational school girls.
