Women's Perception ami Practice Regarding their Rights of Reproductive Health

Abstract


Long neglected to women's reproductive right is now beginning to receive attention as a result of tragically high levels of maternal mortality and morbidity in many parts of the developing countries. So increase attention to reproductive rights lead to promote women's health and decrease maternal mortality and morbidity.

The present study aimed to evaluate women's perception and practice about their reproductive rights.

The study was conducted in outpatient clinics it involve family planning clinic, antenatal clinic and gynecological clinic at Ain Shams University Maternity Hospital, in the period from
1-12-1999 to 1-12-2000.

The sample of this study were consisted of one thousand women selected randomly from all women attended the out patient clinics of Maternity Hospital, the women with different age group, different educational level and occupation.

The data was collected through structure interviewing
questionnaire was conducted based on the review of literature to collect the necessary data from the women and to cover the aim ofthe study.

The pilot study was implemented on 100 women to test content validity of the tool, these group of women were excluded from the study sample, data obtained from the pilot study were analyzed and modification of the interviewing questionnaire was done.
