Abstract
Diabetes is the commonest endocrine disorder. Diabetes mellitus is a complex metabolic disorder rising from heterogeneous etiology. It involves numerous biochemical abnormalities a heterogeneous clinical picture as well as polygenic hereditary component.
Educational is a corner stone of diabetes management.
It aims at preventing the majority of diabetic acute episodes and long term complications through proper education and training of patients.
- Inadequate glycemic control often results from non-acceptance of thmodifications that the diabetic should follow in his life style.
Education and training of the patients and their families are the
foundations of good glycemic control.
This will have a positive impact on the psychological well being of the diabetics leading to their subsequent adaptation and integration into their social needs.
