Wael Mohamed Aly EL-Mashad;

Abstract

The persent study was performed to investigate the effect of intraperitoneal injection of lisinopril in a dose of 0.1 mg I day for two weeks on serwn level of free fatty acids, cholesterol, trigtycerides and glucose, also level of glycogen in liver tissue in normal and alloxan diabetic albino rats .

As regard. effect of lisinopril in a dose of 0.1 mg/ day for two weeks on normal albino rats, the change of serwn level of free fatty acids, total cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose also glycogen content of liver tissue are not significant ( p>0.05) .

On induction of diabetes mellitus by alloxan in a dose of 200 mg I kg body weight. Then 20 mg/ kg body weight for 2 weeks. There was significant increase in serwn free fatty acids, total cholesterol triglycerides and glucose ( p < 0.001 ), also significant decrease of glycogen content of liver tissue (p < 0.01 ).

When diabetic rats treated with lisinopril in a dose ofO.l mg/day for

2 weeks there are significant reduction of serwn level of free fatty acid, total cholesterol, and glucose (p < 0.001) and triglycerides level (p < 0.05) glycogen content ofliver tissue show significant increase ( p < 0.01 ).
