A.MIRA MOHAMED EL SHERIF.;
Abstract
Adenocarcinoma is the most common primary malignancy of the prostate. It is one of the common male genital tract malignancy in Egypt and the second cause of c cer deaths in males in USA. The prediction of its biologic behaviour is important for management.
Modified Feulgen stain was used for cytophotometric studies of 6 cases of prostatic hyperplasia, 30 cases of prostatic adenocarcinoma and 7 cases of normal prostate for control purposes. The single cell cytophotometric technique was applied by using the Leitz MPV compact microscope photometer to measure the nuclear DNA content of 50 cells in each section.
