Abstract
The aim of the studv is to evaluate capillaroscopic changes in patients with chrome congesti,•c heal1 failure and to correlate the changes with doppler llu.,imctrv changes. cchocardiographic changes and with the stage or cause of chron;c heart failure To attain thipim, 31 patients with chronic heart failure and 16 age matched normal control subjects were allocated to the sllldy. The systolic BP, mean BP and diastolic BP were significantly lower in patients with IHD, compared with patients with dilated cardiomyopathy and with patients with rheumatic heart disease heart disease. There were abnormalities in capillary morphology in 16 patients while disarranged capillaroscopy were noted in 15 patients. However, these changes were not related to the class of heart failure.
