MICROALBUMINURIA AS A PROGNOSTIC INDICATOR IN BOTH TYPE I AND TYPE II DIABETES MELLITUS

Abstract


This study was conducted on patients with diabetes mellitus included in our study they were selected from cairo university Hospitals.

They were devided into 2 groups :-

a-30 patients with type I diabetes 21 of them were males and 9 of them were females with their ages ranging between 18-39 years
b-30 patients with type II diabetes 18 of them were males and 12 of them were females with their ages ranging between 40-70 years.
- Also 20 normal subjects were includes in this study as control, I 0 of them were males and I 0 were females with their ages ranging between 18 and 70 years.
In This research our aim was to study and detect microalbuminuria with type I

and type I I diabetes mellitus.

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the level of albuminuria as a measure of,severity of diabetic renal disease before and after diabetic control. it was also aimed to find out the com:lation between the level of Microalbuminuria and blood glucose control.
both groups will studied for occurrence of microalbuminuria by an immunological quantitative determination [ Micra] - test I I test strip J permits on immediate and reliable semiquantitative detennination of low albumin concentration in urine
samples with on almost user-in depent color interpretation.
