PHENOTYPIC AND GENOTYPIC DETECTION OF EXTENDEDSPECTRUM β-LACTAMASES IN CLINICAL ISOLATES OF KLEBSIELLA PNEUMONIAE CARBAPENEMASEPOSSESSING ENTEROBACTERIACEAE

Abstract

oronic acid (BA) based methods have been evaluated
for their ability to detect extended-spectrum β-
lactamases (ESBLs) among clinical isolates of KPC-producing
members of the Enterobacteriaceae family due to the inhibitory
effect of BA on KPC enzymes.
