Abstract


This investigation embraces some studies on freshwater fungi
-trictly Aquatic and Terrestrial fungi) and physico-chemical aracteristics of water and mud samples collected from the polluted nals with the industrial effluents of both Kima factory for fertilizers
-Iring January to December 1996 and Kom Ombo sugar cane factory
-Iring January to May 1996(The factory works only during these
-onths each year) and of the River Nile at Aswan district during
-ovember and December 1997.The strictly aquatic fungi were surveyed
-td identified with the aid of baiting technique in which sesame seeds
-ere used. Also terrestrial fungi were isolated on glucose- and
:llulose-Czapek's agar medium.
