Interaction of laser with Some Ceramic Materials

Abstract
In the present work, we have synthesized thin films from four different ceramic materials, Aluminum Nitride (AlN), Boron Nitride (BN), Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) and Aluminum Oxide (Ah03) by Pulsed Laser Deposition technique using Excimer laser (308 nm) m vacuum chamber. X-ray diffraction for the prepared films shows amorphous structure for all the prepared films. Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis was performed to the films and it shows non-stiochiomerty for the prepared films {gas deficient films). The films' thicknesses were rneasured by interferometric method. Also transmission and reflection were performed in the range of (200 - 700nm) for all the films.
