RECENT ADVANCES IN MANAGEMENT OF f l SEVERE PRE-ECLAMPSIA
EMAN MOHAMED GALAL MOHAMED KAMEL SHAHINE;
Abstract
Various biochemical tests, hematological tests and Doppler ultrasonography, suggested to be of value in the prediction of pre eclampsia, have been evaluated. Some of these tests are currently available for clinical use, whereas others exist only in the laboratory. Some of these tests, including; renal laboratory tests, markers of endothelial dysfunction, coagulation factors and platelets and other assays as well as Doppler ultrasonography are presented in this review in a trial to assess their relative importance. None, however, has been found to fulfill all desired criteria for the prediction of the development of pre eclampsia < 189>.
