SAMIA ABD EL-WAHAB MOHAMMED;

Abstract

The present work was carried out to study bone marrow involvement and the level of soluble interleukin-2 receptor in the sera of patients with lymphoma whether HD 01 NHL, in an attempt to correlate the level of siL-2R with clinical data, histological subtypes. and stage of the disease.

The study was carried out on fifty patients with lymphoma including:

10 cases with HD and 40 cases with NHL. In addition, the level of serum siL-2R was estimated in ten healthy adult controls of matched
age for comparative study.

All patients were subjected to full history taking, thorough clinical examination including clinical staging and laboratory. investigations which included complete blood picture, bone marrow
aspirate and trephine biopsy examination.

Histologic sections were studied with respect to total bone marrow cellularity, haemopoietic elements, fat vacuoles, degree of
marrow fibrosis, types of infiltrating (:ells and the pattern of

infiltration.
