EID ALI MOHAMED MOUSSA;

Abstract

This work was carried out on 220 camel embryos and fetuses having CVRL ranged from 0,6-117 c:m which were collected.from Cairo Slaughter House.
Various macromorphological and morphometrical studies as well as histological and scanning techniques were carried out in this study, to provide adequate information about the crucial period of the development of the camel larynx.
The specimens for the gross anatomical studies were treated by the ordinary routine preservation_
The chronological topography of the developed larynx revealed an obvious varieties from the time of the earliest studied primitive laryngopharynx till birth.
The samples for the histogenetic events were preserved in 10%

neutral buffered formaline or in Bouin"s fixatives for at least 24 hours.

The differentiation and arrangement of the cartilages of the larynx as well as the formation and organization of its intrinsic muscles were thoroughly described. The histogenesis of the laryngeal .cavities, mucosa, articulations and ligaments were also studied this investigation.
