Abstract

Myopia manifests itself as blurred distance v1s1on. It is a condition whereby images come into focus in front of the eye resulting in blurred images on the retina. Pathologic myopia is more severe than other forms of myopia. Laser in situ myopic keratomileuisis ideally combines the accuracy of the excimer laser to remove corneal tissue, the ability of microkeratome to access the inner stroma and the preservation of Bowman's membrane.
