Orthodontic Treatment Needs among Egyptian Sehoolehildren

Abstract


This study was carried on 500 school-children aged 9-12 years to measure the prevalence and severity of malocclusion and to assess treatment need and priority among Egyptian schoolchildren.

The sample was randomly collected from the outpatient clinic of faculty of dentistry, Suez-Canal University or were from
primary and preparatory schools in Ismailia Governerate.

For each child enrolled in this study, the following records were taken:

1- patient Questionnaire.

2- Study models and a wax bite registration.

3- TPI scoring.


4- Graphic reproduction of the models were taken.
