Abstract


Summary
Alternations of lipid metabolism are commonly observed
in chronic HCV. Steatosis is present in liver biopsy in
approximately 50% of patients with hepatitis C. Hepatic
steatosis is more common in genotype 3 infection, due to direct
viral effects. H
