Biochemicalstudy about paraoxonas-1arylesterase activity in obese human females

Eman Abd Allah Mahmoud Fouda;

Abstract

The present study aimed to clear the relationship between the activities of PON-1 and arylesterase enzymes in the serum of obese females and the occurrence of obesity in human females. It could be concluded that the measurement of the activities of paraoxonase-1 and arylesterase can be used as a good markers of obesity occurrence. Also total lipid profile in obese human females was done which included measurement of serum cholesterol, TAG, HDL and LDL. The result revealed: decreasing in PON-1 activity (P < 0.001), decreasing in arylesterase activity (P < 0.001), increasing in cholesterol level (P < 0.001), increasing in TAG level (P < 0.001), decreasing in HDL level (P < 0.001) and increasing in LDL level (P < 0.001) compared to normal subjects.
