PSYCHOSOCIAL AND PSYCHIATRIC COMPARISON BETWEEN HIGH AND LOW ACHIEVERS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL CHIDREN

Abstract


This study was done on 60 children in primary school children; 30 high achievers and 30 low achievers. Psychosocial and psychiatric comparison was done between both groups. It revealed that low achievers have lower socioeconomic level, higher incidence of psychiatric and physical illnesses. It revealed also that the most imortant element in low achievement of the children is low eductional level of the parents. The solution of problem of education should depend on: 1- attractive teacher 2- Interesting teaching 3- Preparation of leaders
