Abstract


SUMMARY


Varicocele is accepted as a common cause of male infertility, also many men with varicocele appear to have normal fertility. The pathophysiology of the varicocele effect On fertility remain unclear. It includes Thermal effect and the refluxing metabolites as serotonin. The association of varicocele with decreased testicular size, abnormal testicular histology and abnormal semen parameter is clearly established. Because the high incidence of bilateral varicocele and sub-clinical varicocele, scrotal Duplex sonograghy is helpful in establishing the diagnosis.

Varicocelectomy is the cornerstone of Varicocele treatment. Among the different approaches used we compared the high approach (paloma and laparoscopic) and the low approach (subinguinal) in the surgical treatment of Varicocele as regards the improvements of semen picture and post operative complications.

Sixty patients with:

- Clinical lift side Varicocele.

- Aging from 21-40 years.

- Subfertile semen analysis with infertility for at least
2 years.

These patients were referred to surgery.
