Evaluation of the Role of Maternal Serum High-Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein in Predicting Outcome in Women with Threatened Abortion

Doaa Ibrahem Sayed Mohamed;

Abstract

Threatened spontaneous abortion is the diagnosis of a
live fetus of less than 20 weeks’ gestation in the presence of
a history of vaginal bleeding and a closed cervix .The
incidence of 14–20% .After 6weeks of gestation, threatened
spontaneous abortion is associated with around a 10% risk of
subsequent complete spontaneous abortion (Hasan, 2009).
Therefore, perinatal care would be greatly helped if
a reliable clinical measure were available for predicting the
outcome of pregnancy.
