Abstract
Long standing rhegmatogenous retinal detachment is complicated with development of PVR which is defined as the growth and contraction of cellular membranes within the vitreous cavity and on both surfaces of the retina. Despite of the recent surgical advances, PVR is still the leading cause of failure of retinal detachment surgery
