The Effect of Bonding Agent on The Attachment of Acrylic Resin to Metallic Frameworks
Rania Mostafa Abdo;
Abstract
In removable partial dentures, normally there is no chemical bond between heat cured polymethylmethacrylic resin and the cast cobalt chromium alloy. Mechanical retention of the resin to the casting was required and presented a significant challenge during the design of partial dentures. Recently developed metal adhesive primer MR-Bond that contained the functional monomer MAC-10 was suggested to create a chemical bond of acrylic resin to partial denture alloys.
