Abstract
Cardiomyopthies are important group of diseases. Cardiomyopathy could be; Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which leads to; Left ventricular outflow tract obstruction , Diastolic dysfunction , Myocardial ischemia and Mitral regurgitation , Dilated cardiomyopathy, Restrictive cardiomyopathy , Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy , Left ventricular non-compaction , peripartum cardiomyopathy which is caused by ; Prolactin and cathepsin, Inflammation, viruses and Autoimmune mechanism, stress induced cardiomyopathy ,endocrinal eg,.diabetic cardiomyopathy, storage cardiomyopathy eg. Hemochromatosis , infiltrative eg. Cardiac amyloidosis and Inflammatory cardiomyopathy eg.sarcoidosis.
The patient may be asymptomatic or may show symptoms and signs that mimic those of almost any form of heart disease. So, to establish a diagnosis various investigations are performed. These include; electrocardiography, biochemical markers, echocardiography, genetic testing and cardiac
