Abstract


The arm of this study is to investigate soluble IL-2R levels in the serum of patients with pulmonry tuberculosis and diabetes mellitus, grouped according to the clinical course and radiological stage of disease, in order to deterrrline whether these molecules might represent a prognostic indicator. Several aspects of the two diseases were investigated and correlated to serum siL-2R concentrations. This study included one hundered forty five subjects, they were divided to the following groups:­ Group- 1: fifty patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis before starting
