EVALUATION OF THE ELECTRICAL AND PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE FOR CONTAMINATED POLYMER INSULATORS USING MATERIALS DEPOSITS DENSITY TECHNIQUE

Abstract

By incorporating these particulate fillers into the polyester samples, the chemical reaction between organic and inorganic filler, as expected, was achieved in the form and improved the electrical, physical and thermal properties. The surface flashover voltage is maximized and the tracking phenomenon is decreased. Polyester composite samples have been tested in the salinity condition and under marine climatic conditions.

Inclusion of ATH filler to the polyester samples under different conditions is found to improve the electrical properti
