ASSESSMENT OF MOTHER'S KNOWLEDGE ,ATTITUDE AND PRACTICE ABOUT WEANING OF THEIR CHILDREN DURING FIRST TWO YEARS OF LIFE

The first years of the child life is critical for growth of all major organs and systems of the body, nutrition during this time influences not only growth and development but also to prevent diseases in adult life .

This study was conducted at outpatient clinic of Ain Shams childrens hospital and of Alameria, Abbassia Matemal Child Health centers .

Aim Of This Study :
The aims of this study were
I)To study mothers knowledge and attitude about weaning of their children .
2) To assess mothers needs (practice) about weaning
3)To recommend a standardized nursing care program for mothers about weaning of their children at first 2 years oflife .

Subjects And Methods :
The sample comprised of 150 mothers which were accompanying their children in the outpatient clinic of Ain Shams Children's Hospital and of AI Arneria and Abbassia, Matemal Child Health centers they were randomly chosen .
