MINIMIZING CHEMICAL USE IN CONTROLLING POSTHARVEST DISEASES OF CANTALOUPE

Abstract
The results obtained in this work could be summarized as follows:
1-The fungi associated with cantaloupe fruits collected from three locations were identefied as Alternaria alternata, (Cke.) Aspergillus niger Van Tieghem, Fusarium semitectum Berlc, &Rav. Fusarium so/ani (Mart) Sacc, erne nd.synd. &Hans Botrytis cinerea Pers., Cladosporium herbarum (Lerson) Link, Rhizopus stolonifer (Ehrenberg, ex Fr.) Lind, Trichothecium roseum (Pers.) Link ex Gray, Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht. Ex Fr Samples from El- Khatatba and El Sadat provinces yielded higher cultures of fungi than those from
El Noubaria.
