Abstract
This thesis presented phytochemical studies of stem bark of Erythrina lysistemon Hutch. and leaves of Glycyrrhiza glabra L. cultivated in Egypt. These plants belong to family leguminosae. The latter contains various chemical compounds, such as flavonoids, alkaloids, anthracenes, triterpenes and quihones, the majority are biologically active.
