Injection of Fresh versus Frozen testicular sperms in azoospermic males undergoing ICSI.

Omar Mohamed Yehia Soliman;

Abstract

Infertility affects approximately 14% of the reproductive aged
couples world wide. Around 30% of the causes are male factor infertility.
Approximately 10% to 15% of those infertile men are azoospermic.
Azoospermia, defined as recurrent, complete absence of sperm after
centrifugation from the ejaculate. It is less than 1% among all men.
Obstructive azoospermiza comprises 40% of cases and is typically
caused by a blockage in the excurrent ductal system. OA is usually
accompanied by preservation of normal endocrine and exocrine function
with normal spermatogenesis in the testis. Non Obstructive Azoospermia
restults from primary testicular failure, secondary testicular failure or
incomplete (ambiguous) testicular failure.
