team in the Delivery Room regarding application of infection control measures are essential for controling infection.
The present study was aimed to assess the infection control measures practiced by health team working in the Delivery Room at Ain Shams University Maternity Hospital.
The study was conducted on 120 health team member in the Delivery Room (50 Physicians, 50 nurses, 20 auxiliary workers), with age that ranged from 20-30 years, but with different educational levels. The sample was collected through a systematic random method.
The data collected from the delivery room at Ain Shams
University Maternity Hospital from 1-1-1995 to 1-6-1995.
The data was collected through:
I) Structure interviewing questionnaire to assess health team's knowledge.
2) A modified observation check list sheet to assess the health team's performance regarding application of infection control measures.
