ROLE OF COLOR DOPPLER ULTRASONOGRIIPHV IN CASES FOR PERIPHERAL ISCHAEMIA

Abstract
Color Doppler ultrasonography was used to evaluate 30 patients with suspected peripheral-extremity occlusive arterial disease, 4 patients were postoperative bypass graft surgery, 5 patients with aneurysms, 3 patients wit h arteriovenous fistu las and one patients candidate for angioplasty.
o Arteriography was used as a gold standard to assess the accuracy of the color Doppler ultrasonography.
o Color Doppler ultrasonography is very useful, norunvas1ve, accurate modality in diagnosis of occlusive arterial disease of the peripheral limbs.
o Color Doppler ultrasonography is also, recommended for postoperat i ve monitoring of bypass graft patency and after angioplasty.
